The Edmund Rice Centre in Mount Sion, Waterford is a prime heritage centre for the Christian and Presentation Brothers.
It is a place of historical significance and pilgrimage, where Edmund began his great mission for helping the poor and uneducated. He built a monastery and school here where he lived and worked for many years. It is also where he died and his remains now lie.
In recent years, the Christian and Presentation Brothers have re-developed this site and invited an international community of brothers to live and work here. In keeping alive the spirit of Edmund Rice, it continues to be a place of learning and reflection. Young people still come here for training and education, and those on the margins of today’s society find new life and hope here.
